I first met Dr. Waien at Charlene Manor about 2 ½ years ago. I was in there for rehab after knee surgery. He started treatment for a hole in my knee. After I was discharged I continued therapy (treatment) with Dr. Waien and his staff. As time went on I had more surgeries on the same knee. Some of my times there were very painful.
Dr. Waien and his staff were compassionate to help me. Through these times Dr. Waien did everything possible to help heal the hole in my knee, he did skin grafts in that area and also removed a growth in the hole, in his office. He also healed a gash on the side of the same leg which was caused by brace that was not necessary and extremely painful.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Waien and his staff including his receptionist. Dr. Waien is a very caring and is extremely good at what he does.
I would recommend him to anyone who needs wound care. Dr. Waien is a gem. He was my savior.

Two and a half years ago, following an accident, I suffered from severe burns on both legs. This experience wouldn't be easy for anyone, but at 94 years of age, this was a particularly difficult and frustrating time for me.
Dr. Waien and his team at New England Wound Care did an incredible job. The nurses were friendly, compassionate, professional and always made me feel special, they even laughed at my terrible jokes. By the end of my treatment, I even looked forward to my weekly visits.
I am beyond grateful for Dr. Waien and his entire team.
